ID/IQ Deputy Program Manager

This project provides support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. The JPO manages the development, test, production, fielding and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for the USAF, USMC, USN, and International Partner and FMS customer nations worldwide.

We are seeking an ID/IQ Deputy Program Manager to provide associated contract management support for this project. Specifically, the ID/IQ Deputy Program Manager will provide contract management support. Responsibilities may include the management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel, including subcontractors, to ensure all F-35 JPO Program Management services satisfy all Government requirements. The IDIQ Deputy PM will serve as the primary interface and point of contact with USG program authorities and representatives on technical program/project issues.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems associated support systems, or management information systems
  • Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors and USG representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects
  • Applies project principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapon systems
  • Performs functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
  • Ensures project procedures and controls are followed, manages staffing project efforts, and leads problem resolution efforts



The ideal applicant must be highly organized and motivated and should bring the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and balance multiple priorities to serve multiple internal requirements in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to handle high stress environments and work efficiently and rapidly under the pressure of constant deadlines
  • Experience in managing both the professional/technical and the contractual/administrative aspects of USAID contracts
  • Familiarity with USAID Office/Mission program activities to ensure success

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline OR an Associate s Degree plus 4 years of additional, relevant work experience

Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements

Largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
