On October 5th, CTP and several of our staff members took part in the annual Irish Open held at the Waverly Woods golf course in Marriottsville, Maryland, with the purpose of raising money for Habitat for Humanity. CTP has sponsored this tournament for nine years and our COO, Dave Claybaugh, is the event organizer with assistance from several other Notre Dame alumni. Proceeds from the Irish Open go toward Habitat for Humanity projects in Baltimore and the Washington D.C. area. Those projects include building homes for underprivileged families and maintaining local ReStores, which are Habitat for Humanity-sponsored thrift stores.
Tournaments, races, contests are all great ways for CTP and our employees to have some fun and give back to the community. Our employees were delighted to play in this year’s Irish Open, particularly since the tourney was held on a Friday in superb fall weather, although most were less pleased with their scores or the amount of lost balls.
For information on how you can participate in, or sponsor, this worthy event, contact Dave Claybaugh, firstname.lastname@example.org. It you would prefer to directly assist our local Habitat for Humanity office, check out their website: http://www.habitat.org/
