There are many challenges in creating, expanding, evaluating, and improving an international training/outreach program. Utilizing our modern web-based software tools and best practices in logistics, CTP has averaged 80 individual training events per year in over 60 countries. Our work has ranged from specific services in a support role to providing complete turn-key solutions, including: strategic planning and budgeting, program management, course and curriculum design, logistics, staffing, evaluations, financial management and archiving.
To establish new functional entities in cooperating countries, we begin with Organizational Development sessions, facilitated by our Subject Matter Experts, to define the parameters and processes of critical tasks such as staffing, budgeting, and training. Job descriptions are based on job analyses that are, in turn, defined by a series of specific tasks. Training programs are designed, using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles, to transfer the specific new knowledge, skills, and abilities, (KSAs) that trainees need to understand and perform their tasks. The training platforms and materials for each course should achieve specific results that can be tested immediately and monitored subsequently.
