CTP has supported several international outreach initiatives in Counter Narcotics, Border Security, and Law Enforcement. We have gathered over 350 Subject Matter Experts with extensive field experience who have helped us develop and deploy customized training and software tools in over sixty countries. For the State Department, we have conducted International Narcotics & Law (INL) enforcement training programs in addition to our extensive border security work for the Export Control Cooperation ) office. We have also supported the 2nd Line of Defense program (port security) for the Department of Energy, the Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) initiative at Treasury, and security initiatives at both the Office of International Programs (OIP) and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) at the Department of Commerce.
CTP has developed and customized several software tools for border security purposes, including the Product Identification Tool (PIT), the Targeting & Risk Management (TRM) software, the Shippers Internal Control Plan (SIC-P), and the Maritime Information Management System (MIMS). We create the baseline versions in English, then customize these tools to match the linguistic and regulatory particulars of each destination country. We do this final development in conjunction with the host government and a local NGO, then work with them closely during the initial round of deployments so as to develop indigenous capacity.
