Europe and Eurasia

CTP’s international roots are deepest in Europe and Eurasia, where we have worked extensively since 1994 to assist over two dozen European nations in developing their national export control and border security systems through customizing and deploying software suites, conducting hundreds of training activities, and organizing conferences. Working with local subcontractors and non-government organizations, we provide customized training and tools to thousands of government and private sector experts.

In one typical example, CTP engaged with Moldovan officials over the course of several years to first build awareness of the need for a robust export control system, then to establish licensing infrastructure; to customize, deploy, and upgrade a product identification tool to support enforcement at the borders; to train licensing officers on control lists and risk assessment; and to provide localized software to process license applications.

To provide the complete picture, CTP has worked on USG outreach programs in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
