Robin Schwartzman, Senior Legal Expert, specializes in developing, managing, and delivering export control training. Her subject matter focus is on laws, regulations, and compliance mechanisms for dual-use and military exports, and her geographic focus is on the New Independent States and the countries of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Ms. Schwartzman has extensive experience in export control law. She participated in the consideration of the Export Administration Act of 1979 in her capacity as a senior executive employee of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Since that time, she has practiced export control law in both the private sector and the public sector. Ms. Schwartzman speaks Russian and has a working knowledge of Serbo-Croatian. Ms. Schwartzman holds a B.A. in Russian from Bryn Mawr College, an M.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University, and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
